Cambria SAS

The Cambria SAS is a brand new section for adults. Open to anyone over 18 the group has been set up primarily following the recent Powerboat courses. Adults wanted to be able to continue to use the boats and develop their skills in Rowing and Sailing as well as Powerboating and so the SAS was formed.

Scout Active Support (SAS) is a flexible section that allows volunteers to be part of the group and have access to all of the equipment and facilities. In return the SAS members provide ad hoc support to the rest of the Cambria Group as and when they are able. This support includes fundraising, running activities for youth sections, maintaining equipment and helping on the water.

The SAS is intended to be a sociable and active group and will meet on the last Thursday of each month at the Pier Hotel. All members will be DBS checked and will be provided with basic training to understand how they fit into the Scout Association and to Cambria as a group.

If you are interested in making new friends, trying new activities and being inolved with Cambria Sea Scouts but not got enough time to be a section leader then why not come along to the next SAS meeting and get to know some people whilst helping at the same time?
